Q&A's for Insurance Resotarion

New to insurance claims? You're not alone. These are the top questions we get from homeowners looking for clarity and peace of mind.

Will my rates go up after filing a claim for storm damage?

Not necessarily. Insurance companies often adjust premiums based on storm activity within your zip code, not just individual claims. If many homes in your area were affected and are filing claims, your rates may go up regardless — so it makes sense to file and benefit from coverage you’re already paying for

Do I have to pay you if the claim doesn’t get approved?

No — we offer free inspections and consultations. You’re under no obligation to move forward. If the claim is approved, we’ll handle the repairs as outlined in the insurance scope of work and work directly with your adjuster to make the process smooth and stress-free. If it’s not approved, there’s no charge and no pressure — just honest guidance on your next best steps.

How do I know if the damage is bad enough to file a claim?

Many types of storm damage—especially hail—aren’t visible from the ground. That’s why a professional inspection is critical. Our trained specialists will assess the damage and give you honest feedback on whether it’s worth filing a claim based on your policy and the severity of the issue.

Can I choose my own contractor, or does my insurance company pick one for me?

You have the right to choose your own contractor. Your insurance provider might recommend someone, but you're not required to use them. At Culture Construction, we work directly with your insurance company to make the process smooth and stress-free — all while protecting your best interests.

What if my insurance company denies my claim (or I was denied before)?

Denials aren’t always final. If we believe your claim was unfairly denied, we can help you request a re-inspection or provide additional documentation to strengthen your case. In many situations, a second opinion or better photos make all the difference.

How long does the claim and repair process usually take?

The initial inspection and claim filing usually takes 30 minutes. Insurance approval may take 1–2 weeks, depending on your provider. Once approved, we schedule your project promptly—most roofing or siding replacements are completed in just 1 day after materials arrive.
